How To Restore Xiaomi Stock Recovery [All Types]

All Android phones must have stock recovery pre-installed. For Xiaomi, this default recovery is called Mi Recovery.

But the default name definitely has limited features, so many Xiaomi users install custom recoveries like TWRP or CMW recovery.

Of course, users may want to restore TWRP stock recovery, for example because they want to sell their mobile or restore the smartphone to its original state.

Therefore in this article I will make a tutorial on how to restore TWRP for Xiaomi stock recovery.

How To Restore Xiaomi Stock Default Recovery

TWRP To Restore Default Recovery I guess HP has TWRP installed and of course it unlocked the bootloader. Therefore I will not deal with these two issues.

I have divided the steps of this tutorial into three parts namely:

Get Xiaomi Stock Recovery;
Stock Recovery Recovery via TWRP; or
Resupply return via fast start mode.

Please see the explanation below:

1. How to get stock recovery

Basically, stock recovery means changing the usual recovery.img file to Mi Recovery recovery.img file taken from Xiaomi flashboot ROM.

Steps :

1. Download Xiaomi Fastboot ROM that matches your Xiaomi type or just google it.

2. Once done, extract and find the recovery.img file in the /images folder;

3. This file is a Xiaomi stock recovery file.

After getting the stock recovery file, continue the installation step with TWRP or Fastboot Command.

2. Flash Stock Recovery using TWRP

This step is to flash Xiaomi stock recovery using TWRP.

1. Copy the recovery.img file to internal storage and enter TWRP;

2. After logging in, select Install;

3. Tap the Install Image button and select the recovery.img file you copied earlier.

4. Then select the recovery partition (don't select the wrong one..);

.. and then swipe right under "Swipe to Confirm Flash".

5. Wait for the process to finish and restart/reboot the system.

By this stage, TWRP rooting or Xiaomi stock flashing with TWRP is complete.

3. Flashing Restore Stock Recovery Using Fastboot

To flash Xiaomi stock recovery in fastboot mode, prepare the following materials and requirements:

Has been Activating USB Debugging and OEM Unlock;
Install the 15-second ADB installer as a fastboot command;
Install Xiaomi Android USB driver useful as ADB interface driver and bootloader interface.

Steps :

1. Put file recovery.img in c:/adb;

2. Then turn off mobil Phone and press Power + Vol Down to enter fastboot mode;

3. Connect Xaomi to PC/laptop then right click + SHIFT and select Open command window here;

4. When the command prompt opens, type the command:

fastboot flash recovery recovery.img

5. The above command will install stock recovery and remove Xiaomi's TWRP;

6. Wait until the process is finished and marked as Done...;

7. Then type the command:

fastboot reboot

8. Xioami will reboot and enter the main menu;

9. Done.

You can test if the stock recovery installation was successful by entering recovery mode and following the instructions in this article.

So far TWRP uninstall and Xiaomi stock recovery is complete.
